Outdoor Light
Centralized light with individual removable lanterns for outside.
The B1 Outdoor Light is an LED light that contains individual stackable lanterns. Multiple lights can be added to the base and when removed work as lanterns. When the lanterns run low on charge they attach securely to the base which contains a charging station with additional battery and plug. In emergency situations the light contains an SOS feature, activating and flashing the lanterns.
The light is based on the responsibilities of being modular, flexible and adaptable. Different fidelity prototypes allowed for quick objects to be interacted and tested with. The principles help to maintain a cohesive design built on simplicity, minimal material and maximum function.
Collapsible legs can be attached to the ground with tent stakes to overcome challenging weather or folded up for easy transportation. The light works great in the backyard to brighten up a late-night BBQ or for camping outside.
The individual LED lights provide lots of light outside and are easy to carry with fold-up handles. The lantern's flat sides provide an easy way to place them on any surface. Carrying or placing the lanterns around extends the camp's light making it much safer at night.
The lanterns lock securely into the base for charging and provide a centralized lighting source. The light works equally well as both an indoor and outdoor light based off its minimal design.
